Aims and Objectives

Aims and Objectives

To seek financial support for the Kashmir Education Foundation, in two main areas:

i) at grass roots level among the UK Muslim community.

ii) by approaching local, national, European governments, private corporations and charitable organisations.

  • To help the Kashmir Education Foundation, achieve its objectives in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, in all possible ways. For example by providing financial support, human resources and technical help.
  • In our contacts with the community, we should use the opportunity to raise parents’ expectations: their children can and should be better educated.
  • We also need to work with people in the UK educational establishment and the decision-making executive and to mutually improve cultural understanding between our two communities. e.g. by setting up a teacher exchange scheme, and student visit programme. Initiatives of this kind should eventually feed through into better academic results for our children.
  • Through the medium of education, we aspire to create a better and fairer society for future generations. With the help of genuine people we believe that we can change the image of Pakistan and highlight the true nature of our society.
  • Kashmir Education Foundation – UK should promote itself in order to attract like-minded people to the task of bridge building in Britain’s multi-cultural society. Let us not stand by and wait for someone else to create a better world.
