The
Kashmir Education Foundation - United Kingdom (KEF-UK) was registered as a
charity in the United Kingdom on 5th September 2000 with a separate Board of
Trustees, with Mr. Mussadhik Hussain from Bradford as its chairman. The
Chairman of KEF, Maj. Gen. (Retd.) M. Rahim Khan, paid a visit to the United
Kingdom between 17th May and 11th June 2001. He inaugurated the beautiful
designated office of KEF-UK in Bradford, generously donated and equipped by
Mr. Mussadhik Hussain. The Chairman also visited London, Luton
Chairman with UK Trustees and
Team Leaders in UK
Bradford,
Leeds, Manchester,
Birmingham and Glasgow to attend various functions organized by KEF-UK. He
appeared on radio, TV and gave press interviews to raise awareness and
support for KEF. The visit was a great success. Ten core groups of
volunteers were organized in various cities in support of KEF objectives.
The United Kingdom trustees are confident of raising enough funds to set up
a second Kashmir Education Foundation school on the rural outskirts of
Rawalpindi.
