Isle of Wight on 20.05.07

Anna has successfully completed her sixth marathon, which took place in the Isle of Wight on Sunday, 21st May. The Isle of Wight course is considered to be one of the toughest road marathons in the United Kingdom involving a height variation of some 1500 feet (click here to  see course profile). After the first mile around the start in Ryde, runners are either running uphill or down. There is hardly anywhere else on the  route, which could be described as flat or provide any respite for runners.

Despite the hot gruelling run and again suffering from sunburn, Anna our super lady completed the course in amazing 4:47:39.

This was Anna's 6th marathon.  Congratulations to her and best wishes for next Sunday's marathon in Edinburgh. It will be Anna's last marathon of the challenge Seven runs on Seven Suns.  Now it's six down and one to go!
